Overview
These files contain promotional data for a set of products on promotion in a speciifc price zone of a specific banner in a specific time period.
These files contain the set of products and their promotions. The file can encompass a set of Price Zones and, optionally, Campaign Periods.
Promotion Files must have a Primary Key that identifies items that are promoted together in the same offer. In addition. it is usually helpful for these files to contain the Product Family of each item.
The PROMOFILE action menu offers a number of different transformations that can be applied to filter/augment a PROMOFILE to extract only those promotions that are featured in a specific PRICE ZONE.
Users can also include a Hold Out field that contains a True / False value denoting whether or not these items can be allocated to a different location in marketing materials.
